Hi All, hmm... it's been a while since I was on here. I thought after my Master's was finished I'd be back into photography and updating here a lot. Sadly I was wrong. Instead I've been flat chat busy and hardly taken a photo in the last year. After finishing I ended up with not 1, not 2, but 3 jobs I was working. Then as if my life wasn't insane enough I decided to do my PhD. At one point I was working the equivalent of 3 full time jobs. Yes, I know, completely nuts. Anyway I am now down to 2 part-time jobs plus the PhD studies. I occasionally get to sleep now but it still doesn't give me much time for the photography. In a way it is nic

Hi All, well I finished my Master's degree two months ago. It is a big relief except now I'm applying to do my PhD. I was a little worried I'd end up over-educated and unemployed when I finished my Master's. Instead I find myself overworked. I now have three jobs that are keeping me on my toes. Unfortunately this still doesn't leave a lot of time free for photography. However, my weekends are now sometimes free. I've done a couple of trips out taking photos just recently but still trying to find time to upload the photos to my computer and check them out (yes, I know, blasphemy). Hi All, well my studies are still taking up most of my time. I will be glad when they are over and I can do normal things again (like taking photos). I have managed to get out and take a couple of photos lately. There has been a nesting pair of Tawny Frogmouth owls in my neighbourhood. These birds blend in to the trees very well so spotting them in the first place is very difficult. Recently the fledglings left the nest and we couldn't locate them for a few days. When they leave the nest they stay on the ground for a couple of days until their wings strengthen more. Then we found the whole family again in nearby trees. It's been great follo
