Hi All,
well my studies are still taking up most of my time. I will be glad when they are over and I can do normal things again (like taking photos).
I have managed to get out and take a couple of photos lately. There has been a nesting pair of Tawny Frogmouth owls in my neighbourhood. These birds blend in to the trees very well so spotting them in the first place is very difficult. Recently the fledglings left the nest and we couldn't locate them for a few days. When they leave the nest they stay on the ground for a couple of days until their wings strengthen more. Then we found the whole family again in nearby trees. It's been great following their development.
The other wonderful thing about them is they generally stay low in trees which gives you a chance of getting some good photos, as I've added to the gallery recently.
Hope you are all well. I still check in periodically and see all the submissions from the people I watch and the clubs I support. It seems like everybody is taking fab photos all the time. Keep up the good work.
Cheers.
